Excellent! Well done Antonio for the photographic report.
The "subida" seems to be a branch of running peculiar to Spain. We've got a few of them around here (la subida al Angliru, Morredero, another one near Sanabria..etc..)
Almeria looks dry. When was the last time it rained?

ANTONIO L.R.

Well, BB, as a matter of fact, it is raining right now. It doesn´t often rain here although with the climate change in the last years it has rained more than usual. Actually, on the last weekend of January when Almería half is held it has rained the last three years as some RC forumites can corroborate. By the way, it would be great if we could meet you at Almería half this year.

Well,La subida al Angliru in Asturias is well known due to La Vuelta ciclista a España and there is a popular race in October every year.

All the best at Christmas and the new year.

In fairness BB it rains pretty much every year during the last week of January :D

Great report Antonio; I should very much like to take part in this race one year. This year I was with your friend Manuel in spirit, being under the curse of a most horrible chest infection which so far has lasted all Christmas week. That's what you get when you start talking about atheism in your forum log :(
